A brand of quality and excellence
Colore Sicuro is much more than a simple symbol: Colore Sicuro is an important project created by Assovernici with the aim of offering all those who come into contact with a paint (consumers, professionals, retailers, companies) the maximum quality of products and results obtainable with them.
The project promoted by Assovernici is aimed at promoting the use by consumers of quality paints, so as to encourage excellence in a particularly crowded and fragmented market.

COLORE SICURO PROJECT
FRANCHI&KIM supports this campaign, trying to sensitize users about the products they buy and ensuring that the products have accurate and true performance.
The associates decided to share a common path by creating an exhaustive classification of the characteristics of the coating products, in total compliance with the national and international regulations governing the sector.
The foundation of Colore Sicuro is represented by the "Charter of Values" which describes the commitments undertaken by member companies.
The 5 fundamental points of the CHARTER OF VALUES
HEALTH & SAFETY
Operate responsibly to safeguard the health and safety of operators in the production sites, of users and their customers

WHO IS COLORE SICURO PROJECT FOR?
WHY CHOOSE A HIGH QUALITY INTERIOR PAINT?
The characteristics declared on the products marketed by the companies belonging to ASSOVERNICI are verified by the respective laboratories in relation to the quality tests required by national and international standards and are therefore true in relation to them.
HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE CHARACTERISTICS OF PAINTING?
Check the technical characteristics of the product on the packaging or on the TDS (on manufacturers' websites).
In this way it is possible to choose the most suitable paint for the specific needs of the case.
WHAT DO WE MEAN BY WASHABILITY OF PAINTING?
Washability essentially depends on the quantity of resin contained in the product; the higher it is, the more the finish will be of high quality and long lasting.
In the official reference standard, the products are classified from 1 to 5, where 1 represents the super-washable and 5 the breathable products (low washability).
WHAT DO WE MEAN BY PAINT HIDING POWER?
A high hiding power of the paint allows you to obtain an excellent finish by applying fewer coats, thus making painting faster and more profitable.
Theopacity is specified with value classes from 1 to 4, where class 1 identifies the products with a high opacity while 4 indicates a products with low hiding power.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF A WATER-BASED PAINT?
The finishing of a product can be glossy, satin or matt.
It is only a descriptive feature, but it is useful to keep in mind that while a matt finishing tends to mask any wall irregularities, on the contrary a satin or glossy one tends to make them stand out.
HOW TO CHECK THE STATE OF THE WALL BEFORE APPLYING THE PAINT?
Rub the wall with a wet sponge to check if it does not get dirty from the previous paint and if the water is not absorbed.
Otherwise it is essential, before the final painting, to apply an intermediate coat of fixative primer to consolidate the surface and make the finish homogeneous and resistant.
HOW TO DILUTE THE PAINT CORRECTLY BEFORE APPLYING IT?
If the paint is not ready for use, it must be diluted in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Most of the time the paints have to be diluted with water. Attention: use only tap water. Dilute only the amount of product that is expected to be consumed within one, two days, otherwise it must be discarded.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE APPROPRIATE TOOL?
The roller is preferable for large surfaces, it allows a higher spreading rate of paint than the brush.
The roller produces a slight “peeling” of the finish, more accentuated in the long-haired ones, less evident in those with short hair.
The brush offers a lower spreading rate than the roller, but it allows to obtain more smooth finishes.
HOW TO DO IN THE EVENT OF MORE THAN ONE COLORED PAINTS?
If you buy two cans of the same paint in the same color, it may happen that the two colors are not perfectly identical, especially if produced in the factory in different production times/batches or made with a tinting machine in a store.
To overcome this problem, it is enough to mix the contents of the different cans well together while maintaining the same dilution.
HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE EVENT OF RETOUCHING ON ALREADY PAINTED WALLS?
In continuation of what explained in the previous question, on adjacent surfaces it would still be ideal to calculate the exact quantity of paint to cover the entire surface, to maintain the same dilution and not to use different production batches.
